What I Can Tell You About Flooring Restoration
If you found this site you
are probably looking for a company to restore your terrazzo, marble, limestone
or granite. The first thing I tell a potential customer when they find
me on the Internet is "don't trust me, trust my references", anyone can
put up a website. It can be extremely confusing with all the conflicting
information and fantastic claims on all the different web sites.
Don't believe all the
nonsense about "state of the art equipment", "cutting edge technology","
advanced polishing systems" or "highly trained staff of restoration professionals".
I have worked in the natural stone installation, fabrication and restoration
business full time since 1981. There have been many changes, but one thing
that hasn't changed is that some people will tell you anything to get our
I always provide you with
information about the materials I'm using, the manufacturers, distributors
and local suppliers. No one system works in all situations. Sometimes
less expensive materials such as diamond discs, polish compounds etc.,
work better than higher priced ones, saving me and you, the customer, money.
Don't trust pictures,
even mine. No one is going to show you pictures of the jobs that don't
turn out well. Even a picture of a poor restoration can look great in the right light
and at the right angle, ask where did the picture come from.
I encourage you to get
at least two estimates to compare cost and methods. Most importantly
GET REFERENCES AND CHECK THEM. Most of the tie I have done a job in your
neighborhood. Very often the people I have worked for are happy to show
you the results, whether the job was completed last week, last year or
five years ago.
One of the things I am
most proud of, besides the final results, is that the job is kept neat,
clean and organized from start to finish. "Sloppy workers equal sloppy
work". I have always stressed to anyone working with me whether it is new
construction, remodeling, restoration or installation "This is someone's
home, not a construction site". When I leave the job is cleaner than before
